What is
The Positivity Army
and the Power of 2 Movement?
The Power of 2 Movement exists to prove that small, consistent acts of kindness—powered by just $2 a month—can create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of children.
We are a people-powered, transparency-driven nonprofit committed to using community donations to support real needs—from backpacks and meals to shelter and scholarships—without relying on government grants or major foundation funding.
Our mission is simple: make generosity accessible, make kindness visible, and make sure every dollar makes a difference.
Mission Statement
Vision
Proving that the world doesn’t need millionaire heroes - just a million heroes.
Core VAlues
Positivity
We lead with hope, not fear — choosing to see the good and be the good in the world.
Kindness in Action
Kindness isn’t passive. It’s something you do. We turn intention into impact, one small step at a time.
Integrity & Transparency
We keep our promises, stay open about where funds go, and never ask for more than $2. Ever.Collective Power
We believe in the strength of everyday people — because together is how the world changes.Recognition
Every $2 matters. Every act of kindness matters. Every person matters — and we make sure they feel it.Accountability
We don’t just talk about change. We show our work, we own our mistakes, and we always aim higher.
How it works
1. You donate just $2.
That’s it. No tiers, no pressure, no upsells. We ask for $2 — never more — because we believe everyone can give something.2. You become a Positivity Elf.
That $2 joins thousands of others from people just like you — everyday heroes spreading kindness.3. We combine those small acts into something big.
From helping children in hospitals to funding school supplies, shelters, food pantries, and more — every dollar is tracked and goes where it’s needed most.4. We show the results.
We capture and share acts of kindness on social media, so you can see the good your $2 helped create. And on our website, we break down exactly where every dollar goes. Full transparency, always.
5. Rinse and Repeat
You keep spreading positivity by telling at least 2 people about The Power of 2. We keep turning $2 into real-world impact for children. And together, we keep proving what’s possible - one small act at a time.
When Sterling was a child, he had a simple idea:
What if everyone in the world gave just $1?
That’s it. No huge donations. No charity galas. Just $1 -something no one would miss, but that could add up to billions if everyone did it together.
Years later, as an adult, Sterling discovered a content creator named MrBeast - a YouTuber known for doing huge, wild, and generous things just because he had millions of followers willing to watch. That’s when the old idea clicked with a new one:
What if every one of MrBeast’s followers gave just $1 - not to a millionaire, but to a mission?
The math was still powerful. But now, it felt possible.
Of course, there was one issue: fees. Credit card processing, platform cuts - none of that left a full $1 to actually do the work. So Sterling adjusted the idea:
$2. One to give. One to cover the cost of giving.
Still tiny. Still doable. Still powerful. And what better way to honor that vision than by building it around the idea of two?
Two dollars. Two people. Two acts of kindness. The idea grew—The Power of 2 was born.
🎅 Enter: Santa Nicolas
Sterling also happens to know a certain jolly old man - Santa Nicolas, to be exact.
Santa had long wondered:
Why do people only care about joy, kindness, and generosity during one or two months out of the year?
What if we could bottle that spirit and make it last all year?
So Santa got on TikTok. And to no one’s surprise, he found an audience. In no time, he built a following of over 14,000 people - sharing joy, positivity, and gentle reminders that we all matter (while also checking names on his Nice List, of course!).
That’s when the Positivity Army was born.
But then… the sleigh hit a snag.
Santa’s TikTok account was banned for “ violating impersonation guidelines,” and just like that, the snowball melted.
🪙 Enter: The 2Coin
Sterling and Santa realized something important:
This movement can’t rely on one man in a red coat.
If the message was going to spread, it had to come from everyone. That’s where the 2Coin came in.
A small, physical token people could pass on, just like kindness itself.
No big production. No social media algorithm. Just people, doing good, telling others, and letting it grow.
Because two dollars and two people really can change the world.
How it all started
Short-Term Goals
(First 6–12 Months)
Provide tangible help for children in need through direct donations to trusted partners — like food pantries, backpack drives, and children’s shelters.
Fund at least one major act of kindness per month (with receipts, photos, and video when possible).
Launch the Kindness Kit, spreading joy while supporting the mission.
Grow a community of 10,000 Positivity Elves, each giving just $2 to power life-changing impact.
Keep all operations transparent — every dollar tracked and reported.
Long-Term Goals
(1–5 Years)
Create a global movement of everyday givers who prove kindness doesn't need to be expensive to be effective.
Support scholarships for underprivileged children and ongoing efforts with groups like Voices for Children, Angel Tree programs, and children’s hospitals.
Establish the Power of 2 Fund, a perpetual fund that responds quickly to child-focused needs — from disaster relief to local school emergencies.
Turn viral momentum into sustainable kindness infrastructure — possibly with full-time staff, volunteer networks, and creator collaborations.
Make it normal — even expected — for people to give $2 every month to do something good.
